IMHO....I think the tranny should be gently broken-in....really dont like the word broken, but you get the drift.....the engine is already broken in from the factory, but the tranny should be gently used for about 1500. I saw a tremendous difference in my tranny after about 1500. I kept my engine under 5K for the first 1500 and low or no boost....I also chnaged the engine oil after 500 miles, and I'm glad I did. it looked dark and it needed changing....now I do it every 3000...HTHelps

Break in on what???? A clutch or a motor????

A clutch, at least 500 miles

A motor, just to be on the safe side IMO 1,000 miles

what?! you mean to tell me that the car wasn't broken in off the dealership?! lol
btw drive it how you like it after the first 1k, just don't be doing 1/4 miles, most important for the break in is servicing the car at 2k you get rid of the metal particles that break down into the motor and gets in the oil, otherwise you're fine, its good to break in the brakes though, they'll tend to squeal at this time and its good to hit boost! They don't like to be babied
