Thanks EVO Tengoku I ordered the Nisei LICP from www.motiongarage.com in polished aluminum. I like that it has the support bracket like the stock unit and t-bolt clamps.
Can't wait to get it. Thanks again for the help.

Just a bit of FYI: When you get the licp, look inside for metal shavings. I had some shavings in mine so I took a towel, tied a string to it, and a bolt to the string. Then just pull the towel through using the bolt as an anchor.

How much of a difference do you guys think replacing the intercooler pipes makes? I'm trying to get everything I need on a list. How much quicker does it really spool on the stock turbo?

Word!!
Wrong. Still bigger than stock. Still helps spool-up.
1-200 rpm can be realized in 4th and maybe more depending on the car.
The AMS unit also has a bracket for support and does not cause lower splash tray issues. All these licp are gonna yield relatively similar results in spool. There wont really be any significant hp increase on an avarage bolton car. Thats the truth.

The best (maybe only) reason to buy an licp is it smooths out spool up and allows spool up earlier in the rpm range. This is a good thing.

Just buy the Nisei LICP for 167/shipped. Looks great and comes with the silicone coupler and t-bolt clamps x2 . I just put mine on after having it for a few months.
Getting that undertray and front bumper off was a pain in the @ss though. I need to order the beatrush metal undertray

I have/had both but lets get real, AMS was the first one to offere them so that counts on their advantage. AMS LICP is very sweet and light but two pieces though. I had AMS on my Evo 8 MR and it never had issues.
On the other note I posted the first review on the Buschur LICP including pictures, just do a search on my name and you will find it. The same thing goes for Buschur, it is a great product and it fits perfect, it never came out of place despite the fact that we even ran at 31psi a few times.
As per the other brands, it looks like Figthers garage was the first one to built a budget LICP then other companies also followed Nisei and HPF.
My sincere opinion is that you wouldn't be dissapointed with any of the LICP offered now in the market, they are all very simple in design and very reliable. The brand and quality will determine the price.
Good luck.
