Question Clutch Options?

Ok, this weekend we were tuning my car and the clutch was slipping pretty bad. It now time for me to take out the stock guy (after 26K miles ) and put in a new one... My car has about 330-340whp and I just can't afford anything more then like $500-600. It is my daily driver so I don't want anything that will suck in traffic but at the same time I do take it to the drag strip every now and then so I want something thats good but won't break my tranny. After searching and reading for about 20-30 min I have come up with a few options.

Exedy Stage 1.. which really doesn't tell me much. I would guess its a 6 puck, and organic but some people on here have said they don't hold much more then stock.

ACT HDG6 - Heavy Duty with Sprung 6 Puck Disc! From my other cars I know ACT to be a good clutch company but I know they can be a BlTCH to drive on the street (but that was a 4 puck).

XTD 6 puck Copper Ceramic Clutch. I have read a few posts about this but I have never heard of them and super weary of things I don't know or aren't street proven.

Any information you all could provide for me would be greatly appreciated. I always want to do things right the first time but unfortunatly, I don't have the money to afford the best clutch and install Thanks in advance for any imput you all have.

ACT HD street disc. right around $500-550 and holds up to 497 ft. lbs. and is not as aggressive as the puck clutches.

I'm not sure what your post is saying. You are just paying for the Exedy name unless you want the twin disc or above. They are both right around the same price, according to Gruppe-S. I bet more people are running an ACT.

So now I am leaning toward the ACT HD Street Clutch...

I see a lot of "Other votes" but no one is posting what they think...

Come-on guys the more info the better! Thanks!

I'm running the ACT HD kit. Clutch pedal is a little tighter, but not much. Holds real good. You will get some more drive train noise. Definately a good street clutch in my opinion.

I voted "Other" - Exedy Twin HD

Clutch jobs are expensive if you're not doing it yourself. I figured I'd just do it right the first time, and have myself covered incase I want more power later. Which I probably will.
