Why buy an SUV? You do know that gas prices are expected to continue to rise? Shame on you!

Actually, the CR-V does pretty good in mpg since it's a n/a fourbanger even with 4wd. It's supposed to average 23city and 28highway or something like that. Plus it runs on 87 octane. Shame on me?! Shame on the wife! But yeah- shame on me for letting her talk me into seeing what would happen if we were to trade it in.

I went to trade my IX MR in on a 2007 Audi A3 and the guy was going to give me 25,000 for it. He said the reason was that there was only one Mitsubishi dealer here in Nashville and since there aren't that many Evo's around that he had to use a price from California. I said thanks and walked out the door.

Yeah the only time you really want to trade a car in is when it's a difficult model to sell and/or usually sells in the private market for less than KBB. If you do it any other way you're really going to get burned. Good luck man!

Have you considered the outlander? I think the outlander is comparable to the CRV and you'd probably get a much better trade in price at a Mitsu dealership.

Also I had thought that we would get more for the EVO and therefore owe less on the new car seeing how the EVO blue booked for about $32K. Ehhh- WRONG.
That chithead of a used car manager offered me $20,000 for my EVO w/9002 miles! I had only bought it back in September for roughly $41k out the door (total came out to $26XXX w/my paid-off trade) and it is in pretty immaculate shape with a few tiny rock chips on the hood. That would mean that they would be tacking on negative equity of about $4000 on top of the price of the CR-V. His reasoning was that it's a Mitsubishi and that their resale values are not so great. Well, I told him to go fucc himself for trying to screw me over and I left happy knowing that I would get to keep my EVO.
The wife could care less because she loves the EVO as well and has decided to wait until next year to purchase an SUV (not from that stealership) w/o a trade.
I know that evo owners are probably going to be pretty upset with this, but this is (hopefully) just an isolated event. I honestly don't care how the resale value is on it. I'm keeping this baby. Goodbye and thanks for reading.

I know exactly how you feel. The stealership offered me 22,500 at 4800 miles on my car.

Went to carmax a few weeks ago and they offered 22,000 at 4800 miles. Enterprise rent a car is a little bit better at 22,500

Yeah- I had originally insisted that she get a RAV4, but then all of a sudden she didn't like them anymore. I was like- WTF? Why not? Oh well, the CR-V is nicer to look at I suppose (as far as an suv goes anyways).
BTW- you wouldn't happen to be wingless with the JDM rear bumper would you? If so, I think I saw you driving around once when I was in Yuba visiting my parents.
