Well since Seattle, I been hearing clicking noises when I press on the accelerator while rollin. I thought I heard it while idling.. it doesn't seem to hinder any performance but paranoia strikes deep & its annoying. Anyone have any ideas?

 

ideas...the only clicking sound i get from my evo is coming from the glove box. its from the vibration on the car that makes the pens constantly hit the cd case which produces clicking noises. other than that, i have none.

 

lifters?

 

I get that to sometimes. It's weird, is yours coming from like the front driver side speaker area? If so, I get clicks there every once in a while too and always wondered what it was.

 

My speedo, odometer, tachometer cluster rattles sometimes....

 

is it coming from the motor? Probably lifter tap, in which case I would like to formally welcome you to the 4g63 motor.

 

If the clicking sound only appears when you start the engine after a long stop, I'm pretty sure its the lifter.. and welcome to 4G63 world..
the lifter needs to tap the oil up from the bottom after a long stop, and that produce that irritating noise I got every morning when I start my car
