EVO III & EVO IX AirBags

Well I can't seem to get a definite answer from my local mitsu dealer, so I'm hoping someone from here can help me out.

I have a 10/2005 EVO IX. Australian Delivered, right hand drive.

I need both new Airbags (Steering Wheel & Passenger)

Here in Australia there is basically no second parts for EVOs. So I'm looking to purchase them from here.

Can someone tell me what year model EVO airbags can I use in my late 2005 model EVO IX. Can I use EVO III airbags or 2006 EVO IX airbags? (Both Passanger and Driver side)

I've been told that I cannot use EVO III steering wheel, because the EVO IX has 4 sensors and to only use EVO IX wheel.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt mitsu changed the bags from the VII to the IX you should be fine with any of the three generations

the part # will be different since they are different steering wheels.

I do not think that you can buy used air bag parts, do too the safety concerns and all.

I've tried email all the people on the contact tab but it looks like their emails don't exist anymore....

There is apparently 7 different wheels. But most of these are just different colour steering wheels.
