Random Misfire

So i get off work and start my evo last night, and what do you know my check engine light is on. Just got the code pulled today and was told it was the random misfire code. My mods currently are in my sig minus the evogreen and injectors upgrade. I've done a search before to see what would remedy this issue. I've read that getting either a HKS dli or Sun Auto Hyperforce would get rid of the cel from popping up again. Any ideas? Want to get rid of this cel asap. Car is tuned via ecuflash from Jestr. Thanks.

I get it all the time no matter how many times I change the plugs or wires. I honestly think it has to do with the 280's. I never get it at WOT. I usually get it on a blip of the throttle i.e. stop and go traffic.

I have had same on, no rhyme or reason, and my plugs are new too. I just reset it, and my knock counts are almost non existent

I am in the same boat as you, fastrob. I just hook up the Tactrix cable and get rid of it.

Search for P0100 code, you'll find a crapload on this issue. It's on going, and different variables for different people. Some say it's just the plugs, some say it's the tranny vibrations, some say it's knock...

It's on going. Good luck.

I used to get the code alot when I didn't drive my car much, because of the gas sitting there for a while.

Well most people who seem to get it are 03-04 evos. I gotta 05 plus mine doesn't go on and off. It went on thursday night and stayed on the next day. The car is in the shop right now getting my turbo slapped on, so when i pick it up i'll see if the car still has the code. They're going to check my plugs as well. The car only has 10k miles on it. How often would you recommend to change sparks? I've never taken it to the track yet and rarely ever drive hard. Anymore thoughts? Been looking at all the posts as well, and yes it seems to be an ongoing issue. Don't want to end up like some of the guys w/the shaking when trying to floor it.
