hi this is my first post, ive been reading around and can't seem to find i guess what im looking for. Or maybe im just retarded, but how rare is an 06 evo mr se?
Because i've been checking around and i've heard some people say that it is rare and other say not really. And my second question is, is there a big difference between 06 MR SE's and reg. 06 MR's ??

 

black ones would be considered rare, others, not so much. difference is wheel color, front lip, badging, and red stitching on seats. so no, not really a big difference.

 

thanks man, Yea i've been checking them out i do love tarmac black and the red stitch recaros but hate the sun roof so i guess im screwed

 

SE will have an different air dam
SE should have Black Diamond Forged BBS
Leather Apholstery with Red stiching
a few other thingies too.

I do have a IX MR SE in TB so because its black, I hope it could be rarer in the future as it was the first time MR's were in black.

I doubt MR SE's will be any more rare then MR's themselves...reason why is there is no big difference between the two other then some cosmetic changes (stitching, DB BBS's, SE lip). If anything I believe the only rare Evo will be one that has been stock (not modded then stripped back to factory specs) with extremely low mileage.

Although I do see a point in what you said, I doubt it will make much of a difference depending on how many are out there on the market.

 

no SE's have sunroofs. the roof is aluminum, therefore din't put sunroofs in any MR's, RS's, or SE's since it couldn't support all the extra weight. SSL evo's are the only ones with sunroofs.

 

i am so confused by your noobness....ughh sunroof do not come on se's, you must be on crack when you go to dealerships....

 

the VIII MR's are pretty rare, 2500 worldwide, 1000 in the US. they made alot more for the 06 model year.

Correction: if you happen to be lucky enough to find a black IX MR with SE package, the color is technically called 'Labrador Black' now, and not 'Tarmac Black.'

Ask me how I know... I must have gotten the last one in the East Coast.

 

I get hearing about MR SE's? Where does it say SE on the car like the IX SE? I thought the MR only had an apperance package with no badging but similar things on the IX SE? Does anyone have a pic of this MR SE?

 

It doesn't say SE. Instead, certain MR's came with an "SE" package; red seat stitching, front airdam extensions, etc. It will also say it on the window sticker as coming with the "SE Appearance Package"... I'll see if I can find pictures of my car.

Disregard the leather shift knob.. when I took delivery, the brushed aluminum one was missing. They had to order a replacement for me, which I have now.





Also, it's hard to see but I have the zero lift kit which included a lower chin spoiler, rear vortex generator, rear spoiler lip, and brake duct guides.
