MR vs RS vs Normal Evo??

I am currently in the navy overseas and have been saving mad money, and when I get back to the states (in about 9 months) I wanted to get an Evo. I should have about 30k to spend (give or take a few thousand). So what I wanted to know was, is the MR worth the extra cash? I'm looking for one used. I've found multiple "normal" Evo's for around 20k, but I haven't found any MR's for under 25 (trying to set 25 as my max so I still have a bit for mods and such. But I'm also one of those people that likes to have the best of the best. So I'm kinda stuck. Extra 5-7k for mods or MR. More or less I just wanted opions on MR vs RS vs Normal Evo and if it's worth the extra cash for the MR.
Thanks

depends what you want to do with the car

RS = perfect track car since it's already partially stripped
GSR = comfortable daily driver and it's trackable but a little heavier than the RS
MR = high speed tracks, or lots of freeway driving

i wouldnt use a MR at the track unless you race at tracks that require HIGH HIGH speeds...if you dont need extreme speeds then the 6 speed gear box will holding you back

I do. But I am just lazy.

Unless you are extremely worried about getting that last 1/10th of a second in the quarter or track, I would recommend a GSR (regular evo). If you are feeling saucy, get an SE and that will give you the nice light aluminum roof and light(er) bbs wheels, and hids! Plus you get the stronger 5 speed trans. Me? I like amenities and chose the SSL for the sunroof and leather seats, hehe.

I will be spending a lot of time in the car, so amenities are good, yet there's also the part that just wants to go fast and not care what the car has. I don't care about a sunroof (don't like em), and leather seats = bleh, since I plan on replacing them eventually. LOL I'm so confused on what I want right now, I want the fastest//lightest//best looking//comfortable car possible (which kinda isn't really plausible seeing as how its kinda you pick one of those and the rest can only be mediocre). Seems like a GSR would probably be my best bet, but then again the 6 speed in the MR would be nice for highway (late night top end runs ) and fast tracks but yeah, your guys input is definately helping though.
Thanks again

PS It's mostly going to be daily (till I can get another DD) // track car, not as much 1/4.

Eh, everyone has their opinion. I can't stand cloth seats so I had to have leather. Unless you plan on going faster than say... 170 or so, the 5speed is fine, and stronger.. Amenties wise, your perfect car would be the GSR, or the SE, just going by what you said. Best combination of speed/comfort.

The MR is worth it, the suspension set up is better if you want to do someting other than drive in a straight line, but for what the OP is looking for his best bet sounds like an 05 SSL with light miles the extra money he can mod it an be faster than a stock 9 pretty easy.

If i were in that situation as the OP then i would look for a 05 SSL

Yeah if i were you i would go with the 06 IX SE. a little of everything. you wont regret it. Honestly i wouldnt get the MR, even though it has better suspension and some of the extra mod. But with the money difference you can just buy it outside for about the same price if not cheaper and you got yourself an MR without the 6spd=the suck. So your choice. GL on it.

I'd worry about it in 9 months.

A lot can change by then.
