Try sitting in the S2K first and see if you can fit. I barely fit into a 350z/G35 and I'm only 6'2'' 225lbs. The S2K is simmilar to those Micro Machines that some of us had when we were kids.

Used S2K>Used Evo
New S2K<New Evo

Honestly, the 2003 model S2K's were the best, had the glass rear window, better suspension I think, and was the last year to have 9000rpm redline.

If I couldn't have gotten a new car for 35k, I would have gotten a used S2K for 20K, much better than a 20K evo IMO.

it also depends on your size with the S2K. if u are taller than 5'7" & weigh more than 160lbs, the S2K will feel really cramped.

however, i can tell u that a supercharged S2K on race gas will demolish most evos from a roll on the highway! why?

1) more aerodynamic
2) more useable powerband
3) no lag to wait for

either car is fun & u can pick up more GIRLS in the S2K.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! it is easy to swap gauge clusters on the S like it is on the EVO so the mileage might not b what they say it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the evo only seems 2 attract BOYS...

I have both.

I would never buy an used EVO, but my S2K was used. Honda reliability is soo great. Like others said, the EVO will be the faster always. The S deuce as an only car would not be that great. It is almost summer though and thats when the S2k is soo much fun. Also, the driving experiance is great in the S2000, even though its slower then the evo, I still have fun everytime i drive it.

If you want know anything else, just ask.

Like others said, used s2000>used EVO

How often do you come across a supercharged S2K running race gas on the highway? Besides, you can just start making the same type of stipulations for the Evo aka "Evo running race gas with a 35R will demolish such-and-such on the highway!" Realistically if you picked a random Evo and a random S2K out on the street, the Evo will be faster car 99% of the time.

Anyhow, to the OP - I've owned both cars and you can't go wrong with either. Most of the advice in this thread is right on. If you want performance, go for the Evo. If you want better looks, reliability, and the fun of a convertible, go with the S2K.

ur on evo forums, just keep that in mind . Some guy wrote an article off the s2k boards i believe stating how the s2k is much faster, handles better, blah blah and of course we all had a good laugh. (once again, evo forums). But the facts are: the s2k is not faster than the evo and we know that

anyways, i see majority of people here buy evo's because they live in snow infested states. I grew up and lived in Cali for about 19years and that was never the reason why i got an evo. I see all kinds of cars in LA and the s2k is definetely a "california car" imo. Sporty, convertible, and you look like a intermediate level pimp in that car with your oakley glasses.

The s2k's seats are pretty nice, but that interior is crap imo. and that car stock looks like a girl's car. the body is just way too tiny. Throw some aggressive wheels and lower it a tad and it changes things a bit. I prefer the evo myself. I could've got myself an s2k plenty of times, that car never appealed to me. IMO: its a reliable wannabe luxury coupe (or maybe its becuz lots of the guys i see think theyre worth a million bucks steppin out of an s2k?) sorry, i hung around SuperAutobacs in southern cali too much

PS: people say girls are more attracted to s2ks over evos? None of my female acquaintances like the s2k at all. They say its too small

But EVO ftw!.

4dr,AWD,Winter here in MA. (that comes in handy). .. Just much more practical, Can put a lot of stuff in it while on the weekend, you can hit the track and have some fun.

At least that's how i think of it!.

Btw- I didn't notice that you were from Boston as well. How is the TSX?. I am thinking about buying one in a couple of years.
im still stuck in the middle all u guys make sense but i do live in MA and there is crappy weather here i'd probaly buy an evo in the end cuz my buddy with a s2k says he regets getting it

the tsx is ok power wise it sucks though its comfy and good for tha money but like al tsx owners i just wish it had more power..

Both are great cars. I was contemplating on the same thing awhile back, and the Evo is way more practical more space, faster and yadda yadda. Those s2k's would probably be less beaten on though.

used s2k, less of a chance the previous owner beat the hell out of it. If you want an evo, buy a new one. Most s2k drivers seem to be a bit older, less likely to beat the crap out of their car

you have to push the s2000 a lot harder to make it move. I like the evos power a lot more. You cant beat the s2000 for top down relaxing fun though. If you needed an only vehicle, I would take the evo. If this was a second car, I would go s2000. I had one years ago and Ill probably get a used one in the future.

Having had both and having to choose one... i went with an evo for all around versatility.. it just does everything .. and well, but if and when i have the $, i'll buy another s2k to mess with... possibly a track car. I really want to rip the convertable top out and build a custom coupe/fast back. Any one seen Spoons s2k coupe?
