Please, help me get the front bumper installed right!!!
Hi everyone, I have searched the forum for pointers on how to install the front bumper. I know it should be the opposite of taking it off, but I did that and the headlight gap on the driver's side does not look quite right.
Please help a fellow EVOM member by pointing out any tips or things that I might try in order to get this installation right!!!
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!!
Thanks

...umm everything lined up? No protrusions? Bumper is very easy...no tricks needed for bumper installation...just half a brain...if u need help maneuvering the bumper get a friend to do the other side...
The gap under the driver's side headlight is larger than on the passenger side and the portion of the grill that sits near the headlight is almost if not touching it slightly.
Please keep the advice coming!!!
Thanks!!!

it's fine....my gap is a little bigger on my driver's side too...if anything, it could be the clips that hold the bumper up next to the wheel fender...make sure they all go in their holes, because one of mine broke before and made it hang pretty low...
Everything lines up perfectly. The lines coming down from the fenders match the lines on the edges of the bumper, all holes match. It could be like sekula says that the gap on that side was larger to beging with but I never noticed. It is not a huge gap, but I am kind of annoyed by the fact that I could have caused it.
The reason I took the bumper of was to install an AMS LICP!!!
Thanks nfor the help!!!
One more thing, the bumper has some sort of braket like structure that goes into some portion of the front crash beam, can anyone chime in on that just to make sure I got that right!!!
Thanks for all the help guys!!!

I installed a Buschur LICP this past weekend. You're not going to get the gaps perfect at first, but once you start tightening down the bolts it pulls the bumper in and everything fits fine.
At least it was for me...
Good luck, and +1 to having a friend help you out with reinstalling the bumper - it's much easier with two people.

Nothing to worry bout, I bet it had the gap was there before and you never noticed it till now.
I've notice on all the Evo's I seen all the headlights and bumper gaps are not the same. You just need to adjust your headlights so all the gaps are the same.

Make sure the undertray is re-installed properly; it can push out the bumper slightly.
Also check to see two things:
1. The two plastic prongs on the top of the bumper are inserted into their corresponding holes on the car body's frame.
2. Make sure the wheel-well plastic along the bottom side edges of the bumper is properly tucked in behind the bumper.
