Safc-ii?

Why does it seem like everyone is selling theirs?

Am I missing something, from what I see they are very helpful.

cheaper everytime? or just the first time you buy it?

You say it does more? what doesn't the safc-II do that a ecu reflash will do? Would a wideband fix it?

ok well let me ask this then.....can't youu retune you car everytime you modify a part/something with a safc-II? Save your self the trip and even some money?

i mean a tune for the car would like 200+ everytime you put a part in it..

safc-II is 200-300 one time only

I got an SAFCII and I am going to be selling and getting a flash instead. The SAFCII cant do alot of things the flash can. biggest down fall I have is fuel cut EVERY DAY ALL THE TIME it plain sucks not to mention timing you cant even touch. and the SAFC tune is sloppy IMO. My car does run an 11.4-11.1 AFR with the SAFC and it does pull alot harder and save on gas compaired to no tune but having fuel cut removed and having a flash will give you a much much better tune. plus no option 2 step with an SAFC

I have a flash already which did:

Raise Rev limiter (Stock is 7600rpm)

Raise Speed Limiter (Stock is 155 mph)

Remove Boost cut

Remove Boost tapering

Add the Jestutterbox Launch Control - This is a stationary launch limiter that will build boost at the line.

Also he did fuel cut too and adjusted the ecu to accept a vta.

Basically what I want need is somthing to adjust air/fuel after every mod I do so I don't have to go 30 minutes away to hit jester up. Abviously any real major mod I would need him.

I also want to get a wideband, some say its easier to use the safc-II with it.

That would be a wise thing to do. With a wideband, flash, and safc-II, you should be set. I would also recommend getting an egt guage and using that as well.

Tuning a car based on "the feel" is retarded. yes get a wideband or and egt if not both other wise your risking your motors safty

The AFC intercepts the MAF signal and changes it making the ECU think it is running under less load than it really is and the ECU adds more timing. To get the max benefits with the AFC you also need bigger injectors. So AFC $300 + injectors $325 + WB $300=$925 to tune your own car in a rough manner.

Flash
Tactrix cable $100 + WB $300 + used laptop $400+$800. With the tactrix cable you can adjust idle injector size, timing, AFR, and the list goes on. The Ecuflash can be done by you.

I am not knocking the AFC I have one my self. The pros of the AFC are on the fly tuning and no laptop needed. Cons you are only able to directly adjust the AFR. Timing is indirectly adjusted.

The same reason people sell 264 and 272 cams. They got something different and/or better. Just cause its for sale dosnt mean its junk.

I think the major downfall of the s-afc is that it's only going to be able to help you dial in the air/fuel ratio, it has no ability to adjust timing which is the key to making the most of your mods.
