I've done a lot of research and I'm effin so indecisive but I made my decision on the Kaixen 5000K and I'm very happy. Unless you want the bling factor and like to stand out anything over 6000K is not worth it. I didn't want it to be too blue and even worse afraid of it being too yellow but the 5000K is just right, super bright with a blue hue. Some other things to remember when deciding is the stock housing is slightly blue and they will turn more blue overtime.

Yeah...I have a EB Evo IX and was wanting the 5000K too. I want pure white or crystal white with just a hint of blue (rather than the hint of yellow). By the way, I'm indecisive too. Pretty sure that I'm going to go with the Kaixen over the ebay stuff. Almost twice the price but I rather not take off my front bumper too often because I tried to save a buck.

How much are replacement bulbs and ballasts for the Kaixen?

Newb question. If I am just changed out the factory HIDs and upgraded to 6k or 8k, do I need just the bulbs? or am I going to need a kit?

I installed my balast on the frame inside the bumper on the drivers side. On the passenger side it is above the oil cooler on the frame. Just used a drill a made some holes for the screws.

I went with the GHC 6k 50watts. They are blue. But the are much better then stock. Wish I would of went with the 5k but that is life.

all you need is some D2S bulbs if you have factory HID's.
