Those with aftermarket HID bulbs...

Hey guys,

Just recieved my Kaixen HID Kit (6500K) and I was wondering where you all are mounting your HID ballasts? Could someone hook it up with a picture of where it could/should be mounted? Thanks in advance.

I did the driver side up agianst the frame, and the other one under the light like the factory HIDs go. You can find a place its easy!

How important is it to change the old fuse with a new 20 amp fuse when installing an aftermarket kit? can our stock fuse handle it fine?

I installed them on the outside of the frame rails...driverside was sideways with wires going toward the back of the car and for the passenger side I mounted it infront of the oil cooler with the wires going up. This conveniently allowed me to hide the wires and not have a lot of slack.

I replaced both 10amp fuses with 20amp (1 for each light).

Thanks for responding to my question. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one of these HID kits, I just don't know which brand I'm going to get. Thanks again!

No Prob, just get the ones that are 6500k or less, it will be brighter. I got the 9000k and they are not as bright as the other ones but they look good!
