which trans fluid do you use in your evo?

im looking for one that will make the shifts smooth. i hear a lot of different things about royal purple. i dont know anyone thats used any other fluids so thats why im asking...

 

OEM fluid only... expensive and a PITA to get but the only oil I use.

 

This poll is silly. You forgot OEM fluid and Penzoil synchromesh !

I use Motul Gear 75W-90, GL-4 in my VIII RS. My buddy uses the OEM stuff and likes it though. To each his own.

 

I also use Motul gear Oil 75w-90.

 

Add Redline MT-90 to your list. This lube comes recommended by Jon of TRE, THE Evo gearbox authority.

 

If I had an MR, I'd go with the OEM - MZ313376 DiaQueen Super Multi Gear Oil 75W-85 GL-4 $77.36 4 ltrs. It might cost more now.

i use amsoil synthetic tranny fluid. 75w-90 and its a GL-4

 

Where do you get this from? I didn't know amsoil made GL-4 gear oil! How does it feel so far?

 

here is what i use. https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mtg.aspx as for ordering, i ordered from the the above amsoil website then they contact a local distributer to send it to you. as for feel i like it alot, no grinding, and shifts like butter.
