I am most likely going to be buying an evo 8, 2003 with 50k miles.

And I cant afford an evo IX so please dont suggest that.

I keep hearing about issues with evos

I plan on doing autocross maybe a couple drag strip runs

What are common maintance issues on this car and how much do they cost?

EG: Transfer Case - What are signs to look for when I go to check this car out this its failing. Is this a frequent issue?

Same thing goes with clutch, if im running stock turbo maybe with a flash with the clutch have issues? Which one should I buy in that situation, best bang for buck.

Any other issues/maintance coming up soon I should worry about, again please avoid the flame.
