tbe, cams, alky, and a good tune.....start saving. The launch control will be included in your tune in most cases.

Hey why don't you check out the alky kit i have for your 04 evo. You'll need this to get to your goal.

I've been on the ACT HD for over a year now and I make more torque than you

Really, thats good for you, but I believe that the ACT clutch destroyed my transmission If you have more torque, then you probably have a little more horsepower? Sounds like you should be in the low 11s if the clutch isnt holding you back. Good luck with that!

350whp is certainly obtainable with minimal mods and not too much money. I have a friend with about 350whp with minimal mods (exhuast, intake, more boost) and tuned it himself with ECU Flash. He's running 12.1 with the stock clutch.

Stock turbo + 264's = torquey. You have a bigger turbo which is why the torque isn't as great but your horsepower shines. If I had your HP I should be able to go low 11s

ACT street clutch is good to handle the race course, not 1/4. Even the HD is still for a street/open track. For dragstrip go with exedy twin disk and so on. Even though it's a bit pricey, will save you all the headaches later

Yes, it is, see below.

Yes there is. A stationary rev limiter does just what it sounds like it does. Once you reach a certain RPM it will cut fuel/timing until revs drop below that point and then allow them to pick back up. A true 2-step from a stand alone ECU varies between two RPM points very close to one another which builds quite a bit more load, thus more boost on the line.

Thanks for all your input. I will look into the track tricks cable, Excedy clutch and a good TBE.

[QUOTE=howmuch4onerib;4332124]What I got:
04 EVO VIII with 20K miles

What I've done:
Walbro fuel pump GOOD
Greddy Intercooler w/ Lower Piping GARBAGE
K&N Drop In Filter GOOD
HKS Turbo Timer WASTE
Hallman MBC GOOD
Tein Lowering Springs N/A

What I'm looking to do next:
Launch Control (see below)
ACT Street Clutch
HKS Hi Power Exhaust NOT GOOD (REDUCER AT CAT FLANGE)

Launch Control:
1. Did 2004 Evos come with the 5500rpm stationary rev limiter?
NO EVO CAME WITH 5500RPM LIMITER.

2. If yes, could my car have been disabled since it will rev to redline in first gear at a stand still? How can I enable it?
BUY AN EFLASH FROM A VENDOR LIKE TTP

3. If no, what can I get that will give me this launch ability, ie. Flash, or piggyback? [/B]
REFLASH ONLY

ACT Street Clutch:
1. I don't know much about clutches. I was told that this is good for what I want in the future(around 400AWHP) but can this clutch handle launch after launch at the track, then be able to get me home?
ACT HDSS OR XTSS 450-525WHP

HKS Hi Power Exhaust:
After I can launch like I want to, I will be looking at this exhaust, Tune to around 22-23psi then go from there.
AGAIN, NOT A GOOD CHOICE. LOOK TOWARDS THE MEGAN AT A FULL 3", SS304 POLISHED, 1 YEAR WARRANTY AND MUCH CHEAPER.

Also, if you are going for 350-400, you should consider doing all your mods at once, cams/alky/exhaust... This way you only have to pay once for a tune once, if going with alky get custom tune and consider arp head studs

Get that exhaust on and a tune is a great start. From there, I would figure out which cams to get. Next, maybe exhaust manifold, SS 02 housing, alky injection, injectors, green turbo, etc..

I wouldn't worry about the clutch until you start having problems with it. I was on the stock clutch for almost 40,000 miles with over 300whp before upgrading.

On the two-step, it's really preference. I have it set on my AEM but I never use it and pull consistent 1.7's and an occassional 1.6.

Good luck on your journey!

I dynoed my car and it made 267 awhp. i was all stock. at Taylors Import in Mooresville, NC .

I have an 2003 VIII had around 18,XXX miles. and i was completely stock. so you mgiht be on track man...

Thanks for the heads up on the Hi Power Exhaust. I will check out Megan.
As for the flashes, I'm looking for a cheap laptop now so I can use the tactrix cable and start buying some tunes. My plan now is:

Get a laptop
Get Tactrix cable
Get Exhaust
Use ECUFLASH and Mitsulogger
Buy a custom tune

*Will I need a wideband to datalog or will the free program Mistulogger work with the stock equipment?

*Can someone tell me what a GREEN turbo is?

P.S. I would love to get all the upgrades at once but unfortunately, money is still and object to me

I would also consider ported and coating in addition to what everyone else has been added, especially getting a ported and coated 02 housing (and if possible manifold and hotside).

The "Green" turbo is a 20g turbo nicknamed "green" by Buschur Racing. The two main comanpies offering the green are fp (forced performance) and Buschur Racing (20g-9lt). The two are nearly mirror images of each and are both proven. I believe if you send in your turbo it costs 1000$ otherwise 1700$. unofrtunately the wait time is high if you send your turbo in. The nice thing about the green is it is a true bolt on and retains near stock spool-up

+1^, but the only thing about the trade-in for your turbo is that Buschur is only taking the EVO IX turbo for a trade at that price. If you can buy a good 9 turbo, then turn it around and send it in and save a few bucks while lessing the down time..
