hks tt install help

So yesterday I decided to try to install the turbo timer my self. I just wanted to do the basic functions first so I unplugged the ignition harness connection and hooked the hks harness kit to it. Is that all im suppose to do? cuz when I turn the engine off the timer shuts off too. Let me know where im screwing up lol

Did you tap into the e-brake? It must be pulled up for the countdown to work. Did you do this?

I didn't tap the ebrake, so I don't think pulling or leaving the ebrake would matter. Am i wrong?

You have to connect to the ebrake wire for the TT to function properly.

Connect the ebrake wire, that is most likely your problem. If not play with the "M" button on the tt. The display should have a time on it I.E. 1.00 meaning the timer will count down for 1 minute, if you are in the Voltage mode the timer will not work.

you can just ground the e-brake wire anywhere if u want.
as long as it's grounded the TT will work.

dont know why u wouldnt want to connect it to the e-brake though........

Its because you have to ground the wire.
