Good deal or no on 03 evo...

Hey guys i am hoping to upgrade to an Evo. I found this add, looks like a pretty good deal but you guys are the experts so I was hoping if you guys could help me out here on whether this is a good deal or not. Anything i should be worried about or looking for? Here is the add...

2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII - $18995
I am considering selling my 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution with only 35k miles... I'm getting married next month and moving to Los Angeles so I need a more practical car to drive in the traffic down there... This is probably one of the nicest and cleanest Evo's that you will ever see / have the opportunity of purchasing... The car has a few tasteful performance, audio, and cosmetic enhancements... Only the best parts were used on this EVO, so don't expect it to be cheap, only serious offers/inquires will be considered, I do not have to sell my car, and I will only sell it if I get what it's worth to me not to you... The car is paid out and I have the title in hand so I'm not under any kind of real pressure to just get rid of it... Test Drives will only be available for those serious buyers that have Cash in hand and are ready to put down a $1000 deposit; if you abuse my car or disrespect it in any way while test driving, your deposit will suddenly become non-refundable and there will be a contract to sign in which you will agree to these conditions before the test drive; I also require that potential buyers present a valid driver's license to verify their identity and to prove that they are legally allowed to operate a motor vehicle... that being said, if you are still interested, here's a list of what has been done to this already amazing and extraordinary machine... This car has the complete WORKS TR-303 Package ($1,649 + Labor) which bumps peak power output to 303 Horsepower and 306 lb-ft Torque, besides that it also has a Blitz air filter ($69) and a 3" RMR Downpipe ($349 + Labor). The car is completely street legal and passes CA Emissions Inspection with no problems. With the downpipe and air filter, this vehicle has approximately 325 Horsepower and 330 lb-ft Torque. I wanted to keep the car reliable and have it as a daily driver so nothing else was done performance-wise. The car is not overly loud, nor does it attract too much unwanted attention. Cosmetically, I wanted a cleaner more adult-look rather than the factory boy-racer image so I swapped out the EVO spoiler for a Ralliart spoiler and purchased the JDM tail lights from Japan ($400). I also had all the emblems professionally painted black and got the black UK Evolution VIII badge for the rear ($150). I then added black Mitsubishi wheel decals as you can see in the photos. I also replaced the long and ugly factory antenna with a Perrin Shorty Antenna. Finally, I had the rear windows professionally tinted to 15% and the front windows/windshield strip done to 30% ($200). As far as Audio improvements go, I added a nice Pioneer Color CD Player ($500), 12" Infinity Subwoofer with Slot-Ported Box ($250), Rockford Fosgate Mono Class D Amplifier ($250), Rockford Fosgate Digital 1 Farad Capacitor ($200), and all Rockford Fosgate Wiring/Installation Accessories ($150) + Labor for all audio installations. The stereo system sounds amazing and is capable of ear-shattering volumes while retaining crisp and clear sound quality. This EVO looks really clean and turns heads everywhere I go. It has a very subtle yet exotic appearance. This is truly one of the ultimate automobiles available today at a reasonable price. This car is flawless in every way. 10 out of 10 in cosmetics, mechanics, interior, exterior, engine, etc; Everything is perfect!!! For further details or if you have any questions/serious inquires to make, please e-mail with your name, email address, and phone number and I will get back to you at my earliest convenience... Thanks for your interest and God Bless!

Thanks guys....

I'm actually thinking of selling my 03 EVO VIII Right now, and to tell you the truth, this sounds too good to be true... I have 38k Miles on my EVO, and not as many upgrades, after looking at different prices out there I'll be offering mine for $21k... (Probably will post it on these forums in a couple of days, after I take all the pictures) Currently this deal is better then any of the deals on ebay which are usually lowballed...
I would say... if it's sounds too good to be true... it is...

One more point... $19k is lower then Kelly Blue Book trade-in value.... (look it up yourself)

Great deal, give him a shout and take a look at, although I wouldn't sign anything or give him any money until I received a clean title.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Go check the car out. Just like you would with any car. Its the only way to know what your buying. If possible bring a mechanic along to check it over with you

It doesnt seem "to good to be True" at all. Looks like a good deal. I have close to that for upgrades and last summer I was looking to sell for $20k with 35k miles on the car. Then reality kicked in and I kept it (thank god)

To be honest I paid $21k for my 03 exactly 2 years ago this week and it only had 12,000 miles on it. Back then everyone said that was impossible too

Sounds like a great price and not to many miles. If your really interested in a EVO, you should ****** it up (as long as it is in great condition).

The only thing that sounds a little out of place is that he says its a DD but an 03 with only 35K is low miles for a DD thats is 5 years old. May not be anything maybe the buy of a life time to, only one way to find out.

First thing i would do is step on it to see if its ok at high rpm and make sure the clutch is grabbin and what not, if u tried to keep my money, id simply rip that little crap contract out of ur hand and snap ur neck. sounds like sum type of rip off, and btw not matter what car it is modded tastefully or what not, its still worth more bone stock!
