im finding out new stuff about my car everyday... so i took out my glove department cuz a lil plastic piece under fall out im guessing that covers the ecu wires so as i was looking at the wires i noticed this....
Why would this be cut and so badly tape

 

There was probably a gauge of some sort spliced into it. I couldn't figure out what pinout it was by your pic so I could'nt tell you for sure what it was. If your really worried about it, take the tape off and take a look at the wires and re-tape it. I would also unhook you battery before you do it just in case. Last thing you want to do is fry the ecu.

 

what weird is that the wire is thick and green and its tape to a thin white one

no it was just cut and tape back together

 

If it wasn't dark I'd go take a look at mine for comparison. O.k. O.K. I'm really just too tired. If no one chimes in with any info, I will open mine up in the morning and post my findings. I've looked at the wiring so many times but I never really remember what the hell it looks like.

 

just be thankful they didnt leave that **** open

 

Do me a favor though, if you have it open still, count over front left to right and tell me how many wires over it is. Don't count it upside down though The only thing I can think of is it's the o2 wire or vehicle speed sensor.
