Hey guys, I was planning on buying an Evo around my area but the mileage is pretty high, I was wondering if I could just buy it at a low price and replace the block or the entire motor, please help me out and give me advice on what options I have, thanks a lot. Sorry if this question has been asked already but I've tried the search and had no luck with that. Thanks again.

 

block is stong, why replace?
might need u pistons and or other crap, but think the block would hold out, from what i read about here what people push into these engines

 

so you're saying if I purchase a high mileage motor, the best way to increase its longevity of the motor I could just upgrade the pistons and rods etc..? or do you think the best choice is to mod (btw I don't plan on running any turbo bigger than the FP EVO GREEN, and my hp goals are around 400 daily driven) and run the motor till it gives out and just buy like a SBR evo block if the motor blows? any advice will be appreciated, thanks =]

 

i dont own an evo nor am i an expert,
but from what i have read here(ie ppl running 600hp on the stock block(changed internal) it seems pretty stong

 

what kind of mileage are we talking about?
