CF maintenace? Wax/UV?

Any sort of Carbon Fiber maintenance need to be done? I only have the stock CF wing but was curious of you recomend extra wax or some sort of UV free damage solution to protect it? I hear they can damage easily.

Thanks.

There is a clear coat on it. Just use the same wax you use on your cars clear coat.

Most high quality carbon fiber parts already come with a UV resistant clear coat that do not need any special maintenance. You should treat it as if it were a normal painted part of the car.

I was told to wax mine every 2 weeks otherwise you are going to get the traditional peel on the wing

keep up on the wax, or get it coated with 3m clear film.

I went to a shop to get a clear film on my front lip. They didnt recommend it and said it would take away from the 'shine'.

Is this true? did you guys experience less shine after installation of the film?
