Stage 1 Upgrades Buscher.AMS

I hate to ask here, bc it's really not needed, but because both Companies havent replied to an email or their reps on EvoM haven't replied to PM's I have to. Both say they come with the a flash in the stg1 upgrade. Someone explain how this works to me, Are they sending me #'s for me to work it over the mail, are the reccomending me to a shop where I live, or are they expecting me to drive to a location for them....

My understanding (from other posts like this)... their flashes are supposed to be done at their locations.

I just received my stg 1 mods from Buschur. On the invoice they tell you to mail your ecu to their headquarters and they will do all the necessary work and send it back to you. I wanted them to just e-mail me a copy of the map, as my friend has the connecting cable/laptop/software to install, but they said they don't do that.

I honestly answer every PM and Email imedietely so if you have not gotten a response its most likely becuase I never got a question.

As far as the flash with AMS. it applies to in house flashes only. we do not do mail in flashes so if you bought our stage one the flash price would be discounted off the stage pacakge.

they wont send you maps online, you need to send them your ecu

also, i know once you get a bushcur flash, your ecu is locked and you cant go in and tune anything without a code. im not sure about AMS

Wow...that's something else I didn't know about BR. They lock the ECU? That's whack.

When Buschur's rep refused to tell me who the manufacturer was on a certain part that I'd be buying on their stage 1 setup, I decided then to go with AMS for a majority of my parts. I don't like secrets and if I'm buying it I have every right to know who makes it.

So my vote goes out to AMS.

EDIT: Not saying that BR isn't a good company, they have some parts that I will end up buying soon...but some of the policies and some of the drama that I've seen are just plain stupid.
