what do you mean by gravel mode?

 

I think that from your list of proposed mods, you should only do the TBE and the pump and get the factory ECU reprogrammed or, "flashed".

Get your feet wet slowly. You won't need the EMS, the bigger FMIC, or an open element intake just yet.

all you need to break 300whp is a TBE, pump and tune !

 

You did not use a period (.) in your sentence. It's not mode, it's mod.

Your question should say:

Your answer.............You really don't need the EMS with just 300 hp.

 

The reason I want to get the ams ems is because I want to build my car later.
I doing a complete cosworth motor with and tsr 70 turbo kit from aps on my subaru right now after everything is done I want to go complete cosworth with a gt 42r kit from ams.

 

I agree with the others, don't get the AEM EMS until you need it... the stock ECU will carry you well beyond 300awhp.

 

save ur money for now and get ur ECU flashed! See how the new power feels and get use to it and go from there.

300 on a IX is cake...
I also agree w/ the above poster who said do basic mods, get used to the power (well above 300whp at normal "stage 1")
Read up - SEARCH - And go from there.
