Just wondering what you guys use to install the heatshield if you dont use the rivets

 

3M Tape.

 

thats a good idea! i used the rivets...

 

but wont it like melt off??

 

Im guessing the tape will stick better with high heat. Unless the exhaust is touching or pointing at the heat shield then it shouldnt melt off. Guess it depends on the exhaust. I have the rnr carbon ti so it sticks out a little ways, its not even close to touching/pointing at the heat shield..

 

Mine came with 3 screws that go up into the bottom of the bumper. You dont even see them.

 

Any special 3m tape

 

3M body molding tape and 1 of the clips it came with; i just forced the clip on tight and didnt use any screws. Itl NEVER come off unless i rip it off
