hey guys, i'm looking into buying my wife her own evo...i'm not really looking into modding it much at all, prolly the basic tbe, air filter set up...then that's prolly it. i was looking into getting her the '06 model just for the different front end but that's about all i'm liking with those evo's.

but i'd like to be practical also...what do you guys think? i just wanted opinions, that's all..thanks fellas!

 

wow! it's the first time i read a husband will buy his wife an Evo.. not a mini van or SUV.. she's lucky! Get the IX if i were you.

can't really say the thought never passed my mind. only ix's come with mivec right? and the ix's respond better to mods? not that it's gonna get modded right away...

 

yeah...she's been wanting to get either an escalade or a bmw 530i...but both out of my price range right now...and i've been convincing her how cool of a mom she'd be if she'd be rollin on an evo. lol!

and recently, she's been driving my evo a lot instead of the suv...so that's kind of pushing me to get her own.

 

you get more HP out of a 9 with simple mod's i believe, and for a 8, u have to change cam's and stuff to reach over 300soemting (correct if i am wrong) and yes mivec, better looking seats. and... mm that's it. lol

 

My Evo IX Black SE that I ordered on the 3rd of may got to me this morning at 830 am I spent 300 on a power sprayer and 100 on cleaning supples for my first mods...Damn tape marks all over the car... really bad ones too

Yeah I got it today. There is tape everywhere ill post some pics when I go somewhere cool this week. Its Stock so everyone has seen it

Get the IX...always better to buy a new Evo than a used one...never know how badly the previous guy beat the **** out of it...especially if this one is for the wife...you never want that call saying "hey honey, you know that Evo you bought for me, well it just broke down, come pick me up you SOB!"
