The Search For MR SE's

Hey everyone one! I'm new to the Evolution scene, and I'm trying to get one by the end of July. The problem is that I really want to get a black MR SE, but what would be the likely hood of me finding a brand new one around Sacramento by the end of July? Just looking for some insight, so I wont get my hopes up too high. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm willing to drive some distance in order to get one, it'd be good for the break in point I presume... or would it?

Sac is probably not going to have a black mr in stock. I'd try south coast mitsu.

How accurate is the Southcoast Mitsubishi Superstore inventory webpage? Also, is there really a difference in Tarmac Black and Labrador Black? I heard Labrador Blacks are SE versions, correct? And for the price difference, the 33k wouldn't be the MR, correct? And what happened with the June special? Would I have to actually go over there and ask for it? And will this carry out to July? Because thats the only time I can go there, cant go there without money =/

It's hard to guess availability a month a half into the future. But I was at South Coast a couple days ago getting my car serviced, I saw quite a few black SEs (some of them MRs) more than I did silver and gray, so that's a good sign. But don't expect there to be that many at the end of July. I remember when I bought my first Evo there, they had a couple graphite gray IXs and I said I would buy one the next day, and I went there the next day as I said I would and they were both gone, so they had to outsource to another dealership under the same ownership.

San rafael Mitsubishi.....they had one as of last week....tons of evos on the lot...not only that the owner is cool as hell and works on evos....WORKS is also at the same location....if I could do it again I'd buy from them for sure....no BS games and price switching and trying to sell you BS you dont need...

their website shows 15 evos available, but doesn't list the trim. i think that's a little high, unless they got a few more in, which i doubt, but even still they had maybe 5 or so MRs. they were sold out of RS'.

if you do go to them, make sure you get a quote in writing first. when we started to go over the numbers, they wanted like 6k more than i was quoted and played dumb before i pulled out a printout. other than that, i got the car that i wanted (trim, color, package) at the price that i wanted, so i can't complain much.

Hmmm, sounds like a plan. When I do get my paycheck for this month, I will be searching like mad to find one really. Looks like southcoast is the only one so far with Labrador Black MR SE's currently in stock. And I'm assuming they stopped productions on 2006 Evo's?
