Talking about American Muscle, the money spent on a Stage 1 for a Evo would equal somewhere like 400whp for a GTO. Those bolt-ons for a LS1 motor are crazy.

 

Its flexing the motor. A GTO is no slouch is it as good as an EVO all around no but stock for stock it'll pull on an EVO from a roll. The EVO hols itself in the 1/4 cause it can get off the line a hell of alot quicker if you know how to launch it

 

Yes, but trap speed is trap speed. A stock 04 would not pull on every year Evo from a roll. It's not _THAT_ fast. The 6.0s would, though.

if i remember correctly, 04 GTOs have a single exhaust which limits power substantially... pretty lame.

 

04 has 350 hp not 400 , and it weighs a 3800 lbs , on a secure track from a 10 mph i pulled on a new gto with at least exhaust work, i have 333 whp, evo 8.
