Nope, you'll be fine. As long as they use the proper weight oil you're good. Personally, I would reccomend you stay with Synthetic Oils since the Evo's engine sees a lot of stress.

Since you have already used Mobil 1, which is recommended by the owners manual, dont switch back to non-synthetic oil.

they used synthetic oil when they did it, i was just worried about the difference in oil, so as long as it's full synthetic oil am good right?

Please don't put non-synthetic in your EVO ! It'll kill the engine and turbo very quickly. As long as it's fully-synthetic and meets the Evo's specs, you're all good. Just a brand preference thing. Mobil 1 is good stuff. So is the new Pennzoil synthetic. I use Redline , many use Amsoil or Royal Purple too.

I used pennzoil platinum full synthetic for about 10K miles because my local autoparts store was having a buy one get one free. As long as its full synthetic and the right weight you'll be fine.

Are you referring to penzoil platinum. I have been wanting to try that.

Yep, that's the one. Everything I've read says the way the molecule breakdown and then regenerate is good for the oil and unique to Pennzoil. So, seems like a good thing. Just a little untested since it's new.
