Changed oil to Pennzoil Platinum.

Wanted to change the oil from Mobil 1 to see a difference and went with the new Platinum Pennzoil 5w-30. I really cant see any difference but this oil has been race proven and meets or exceeds high performance standards set by Porsche, Viper, Corvette, Prowler, BMW.

Hopefully that new line of Penz is better than what I used that one time. Tried it just for a change, and it didn't live up to expectations. Back to Castrol Syn for me...

Hahahaha! Actually...I don't think this guy's joking. That stuff can barely be classified as a synthetic. They only have it on the cap of the car because mobil made a deal with Mitsu--not because they are the "proper" oil for that engine. Learn about oil before you chime in with a remark like that.

All synthetic oil is the same for a daily driver that doesn't see too much track use. I used just about every brand. As for as pennzoil platinum I am using it right now and it went it, came out and performed the same as Mobil 1.

Except for Royal Purple and Redline, all the oil mentioned so far are group 3 which are not synthetic base oil. I feel bad for your evos.

Here's how the oils holds up in my car from worst to best.
Penz Platnium, Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Eneos.
