tial wastegate function

An external wastegate for a 50trim is a bit much no?

I haven't seen any 50 trim turbos with internal gates but then again I haven't seen every one ever made.

An external wastegate is preferable due to the ease of adjustment and the fact that they are much easier to respond to boost control.

does the tial wastegate that comes with the turbo kit cancel the stock DV?

A wastegate and diverter valve are essentially the same animal. However you still need both as they serve functions on different ends of boost section.
