Sell 04 Evo?

So I live in Puerto Rico and the value of cars here is generally 2-3k more than in the states (the evo ix mr ran 39k new here). I bought my car about 7-8 months ago for 23k and book valued it in my area for around 26-27k (got a great deal from someone who had to sell it to move to states). I am planning on moving back to the states around next summer and was thinking of selling my 04 before I move (don't want to pay shipping and import taxes) and with the money i make selling it plus some extra cash I can put down a good amount on a IX with low miles. My evo now is bone stock and I wanted to get some opinions from you guys since a IX runs a few grand cheaper there than here in PR. As I stated its bone stock, apex silver, and has 30k miles. Good idea?

If you are drving a stock 8, you may not want to get a lightly modded 9, they are very fast

Thanks for constructive replies guys. I forgot to mention that I am making payments on the car but even still...its blue booked a good bit higher than what I got financed for. This shouldn't matter too much though right?

On a side note: I'm getting the spoiler replaced under warranty but they said something about painting the calipers. I thought they had to replace the calipers for the peeling clear, didn't know they could just repaint them. Is this true?
