Can I adjust angle on Megan CB?
I have the latest Megan TBE, with the new DP, Cat Delete and CB with an angle. Fits great, the closest it gets to the bumper is about 3/4" and has not burnt or discolored the bumper. I even wrapped the DP and it still clears the Bars, TC and Oil Pan.
There is a little room to play with the system, you can loosen the bolts and try adjusting where it sits or bend the hangers a little as suggested.

Remember there are 2 different versions. V1 (03-04) is 3 pieces for the catback. There is no resonator. V2 (05+) is 2 pieces and it has a resonator on it. That being said, I've had BOTH on my 05 and they both fit without rubbing
IF you have the V1, make sure your mid pipe is NOT backwards. If you put the mid-pipe on, it will rub. I know because I've melted my bumper doing it. Flipping it around solves that problem. Mind you, the V1 was never meant for 05+ and you do have to rig it a little for the hanger being the rear dif. But it does not touch anything...
V2 should fit perfectly. I ran the V2 CB with the V1 Downpipe and a Helix HFC. Then I ran the V2 DP, Helix HFC, & V2 CB. No problems. Swapped out to a resonated test pipe, and everything fits.

how far is the part thats angled away from your bumper? Mine angles to the Right when looking at it and the left side is fine but the right side is 1/4 inch or so away from the bumper.. sound familiar or should I try to adjust?
Just went downstairs to check. Forgot my phone to take pics... I did measure it... I've got about 2" on the left side and about 1" on the right side. This is the space between the tip and the bumper...
You've been a huge help so far R-1, I appreciate it. Tomorrow Morning I'm going to be doing some work on my exhaust so I will see if I can figure it out.
On a side note, on your downpipe, did you use some sort of heat shielding for the oil pan/tc?
This may be an easy question but what is wrapping your down pipe?
Thanks...

No wrapping on the DP. Make sure you have the correct DP as well. V1 of the DP has a flex section. V2 does not have a flex section at all. I had the V1 on and it was causing false knock because it was hitting something. V2 shouldn't touch any of those parts. For me, it barely cleared the bars, but I think my O2 housing has something to do with it. I added a couple washers and is clears fine...
I didn't wrap my DP. I actually painted it flat black. I used Rustoleum Hi Temp Paint (rated to 1200C). I'm not sure if it's holding up. I will check this weekend when I have them drill an o2 bung for my wideband. I'm trying to keep my car as stealth as possible.
Wrapping your downpipe is exactly that. You wrap it with heat wrap to keep the heat away from the other parts. I believe it also keeps exhaust temps up...

I'm using the XS-Engineering downpipe that fits well and is not hitting on anything, I kept the front bar on but the rear came off as it was barely touching the dp.
Should I worry about melting anything down there? Maybe I should put heat shielding over the oil pan, I read on evomoto about doing that.
pictures of your exhaust when you get a chance?

Can I see some pictures? Mine is DEF the IX model. It fits fine but one edge is a bit closer to the bumper then I'd like. The CF shield is on its way though, I hope it fixes my problem.
Sounds like you guys were sold or delivered the wrong model years for your cars... matter of fact, that WILL cause those exact problems. I've only had one customer get screwed that way and I'm still fighting with Megan over it! The only other reason would be the downpipes/delete pipes you are using. However, usually it's a case of using an 03 system on an 05 and up (some 04's) Evo.
We recently updated our unit after 2 years to the 2 piece MLE05CBS. We wanted to verify fitment and finish. The install could not have been faster and easier with the 2 piece design and updated hangars.
2003 units will fit 2005-2006.
I have not tried a 2005-2006 unit on a 2003-2004, but they may just fit fine also.
TTP-Engineering does not sell MLE05 to 2003-2004 owners nor vise versa with the MLE03 on the 2005-2006.
We are merely stating the fact of fitment from personal experience running BOTH units on our OWN car.
Seems that is hit or miss by the majority of people posting in the various threads on this issue... customer experiences and all. However, you will not get Megan to condone nor warranty purposely bolting one up to the other.

As stated earlier, I do have the right version (thanks TTP), however, I was merely asking if anyone had any experience with getting different hangers, perhaps kartboy? for a better fit. It fits fine but if I don't get a CF Shield your looking at a burnt bumper due to the JDM angle.
