Additional speedometer?

No laughing fellow Evo owners; truth is I just can't read the damned stock speedometer, tucked over there to the left. Has anyone added, say, a discrete digital speedometer to their complement of guages? How/where would I tap into the signal?

I have my HKS TT type-1 near the ash tray.. and use it as a second speedo.. it is not exactly the best place to check your speed.. but it works.. you can mount it on top of the steering column and it would be more visible for your purpose.

and you need to tap into the ECU speed wire..
if you search for wiring diagrams for the ECU you'll find it..

I just drive by one of those Portable Police Radar Units on the side of the road.

Or if you see blue lights in the rearview...You gone above the speed limit.
