Dont need headstuds. Stock ones very seldom ever fail. Obviously a good tune also is needed. Ported manifold and Megan o2 housing may be worthwhile for the little extra money also.

If you're going to be running high boost, head studs ARE cheap insurance and HIGHLY recommended.

Yeah, a better FMIC like Buschur or AMS, a ported/coated stock manifold, alky injection, and an SS o2 housing.

O2 housings aren't part of the TBE. You may be buying the Megan TBE with the Megan o2 in one package deal, but they are separate mods, so you should list them separately. However, the test pipe should NOT be listed separately, because it is part of the TBE. You just got a little confused on what goes with what, but you are getting the right combo of mods regardless.

alky injection is basically a high octane fuel so you can run higher levels of boost and thus more power, it is one of the best mods for flat out power, but it does require constant monitoring and make sure to get a failsafe. If you do go alky i would recommend an SMC kit. Also check into the possiblity of e85, which is 85% ethanol and works very similarly. It is becoming a popular and cheap alternative to race gas. To run it properly I would suggest a walbro pump which you have, dual pump depending how far you want to take things and at least 880 injectors

Ok, hold on. You started with a decent thread, although you asked the same question many others have asked, and you did it without taking one minute to search. YOu just registered and immediately made a new thread. You are not supposed to do that, and you are supposed to ask newbie questions in the newbie forum. However, we were nice and answered your question.

Unfortunately, as is usually the case, you took that kindness and abused it by going ahead and asking even MORE basic, newbie questions without taking even 5 seconds to search.

1) If you don't know what alky is, then search. We have an ENTIRE alky injection forum.
2) If you don't even know what a ported manifold or even aftermarket manifold does for you, then how do you know what any of those other mods do? It's a very standard, basic mod that just about every car in the universe does. Again, search.
3) Oh lord, don't even begin to start bench racing and asking for estimated 1/4-mile times. That's a big no-no. It depends on TONS of things, such as driving ability, weather conditions, track conditions, clutch, tires, launch rpm, shift point, etc etc. You will know what it runs when you install it all, get tuned, and go to the track. No need to ask in advance. If you want to know what similarly-modded IXs have run with those mods, then search.

No, you weren't just asking about the manifold. You asked about alky, the manifold, and drag times all in one line.

If you searched to get that mod list above, then you know how to search for these answers. I cannot believe you actually searched to get those mods and never heard of modding the exhaust manifold...that's beyond belief, sorry.

We all do it - it's a very common and basic mod, but most of us just port the stocker instead of buying an aftermarket tublar, since they are prone to cracking. Most of us also don't list a basic ported manifold in our sigs unless we're really stretching it...

What companies didn't mention upgrading the manifold as a standard mod? It's more useful than those expensive IC pipes you're getting.

The ported stock, cast exhaust manifold is one of those best bang for the Buck, basic Evo mods. Especially if you port it yourself. It will gain about 8 WHP, I think, and should improve turbo spoolup in the process. I haven´t done it on my car yet and I keep kicking myself for not having done so. Warrtalon posted a bunch of neat pictures of his ported and coated manifold. If you search you´ll find them.

The lower intercooler pipe is the true power adder and there are some less expensive options such as the Fighter´s Garage LICP. The upper intercooler pipe is kinda a waste of money. In fact, you´d be better off powerwise and monetarily wiser if you chose the Buschur Racing intake and just the lower intercooler pipe.
