My next mod is a front mount. I'm having so much trouble between the AMS intercooler and the Buschar Deluxe. Any suggestions on the two, or anybody have them on their cars what which one seems to be better? Oh yeah i want a upper intercooler pipe thats polished, and i just bought a optima and dont want the mini battary kit. buschar stopped making their version that dosen't require a mini battary kit. thanks if anybody can help.

I have the Buschar Deluxe kit on my my car and I think it's great. I like how the kit fills in the front bumper unlike the AMS kit. The only thing I did not like is you have to cut the undertray for the Deluxe to fit, but it is a minor drawback. I would say Bushar of course, but if you don't want to trim your undertray then go for the AMS.

 

ams's looks a bit larger (if you look at the specs) than the buschur deluxe

 

blackbish how much of the undertray do you have to cut out exactly ? and did it do anything for ur car as far as power ? could you feel any difference ?

 

i have a evo 9 and the ams dosent completely fill the intercooler spot in the bumper. does the buschar fill it good. anybody know any pics of the deluxe kit on a evo 9 ?

 

I have the buschur on my 9 bumper if that helps haha. it fills the crap out of it. You can see the end tanks in the circular part of the front bumper. I like the fmic BUT it didn't fit right and buschur kinda gave me the run around... I will never buy from them again. I would suggest the fmic just make sure they pack it right

I could not give you any idea on the changes in power since I put on the FMIC, O2 housing, cat-del, and exhaust all at the same time. As for the triming of the undertray, I have an Evo 8 and there the tray curves up for the tow hook is where it has to be trimmed. If you get under and look at your intercooler and bring a line down from the back of the core even with the bottom of the front bumper that is where the core is. The bottom of the core is a ****** hair above the bottom of the tow hook.

look no further than ETS

they are a vendor on this forum and their products are top notch...I just received my 3" intercooler piping and small battery kit today actually

ams has the sickest looking fmic .. buschur is ok as well .. but ams is my recommendation.

yea dude, you can get huge universal ones on eBay that will function much better than AMS OR Buschur
