Help me decide

I'm trying to decide on a new car. Circumstances have occurred and I have to get rid of my 06 v6 stang. I've done a ton too it, I honestly wish I could keep it.

But this provides me with a nice opportunity. I've always wanted an evo, it's been my favorite AWD car in its price range. But I'm just not sure.

I'd really like to hear some advice. Evo IX? Eventually get into an X? A different AWD car? For the same price I could s/c a mustang GT and hit 500hp pretty easily. It's these kinds of options I have to weigh. Feel free to recommend any car at all, even if it's just because you've been looking at one recently or you've always like a specific car!

Thanks for any help you guys can provide!

I want quick response. I don't care about overall speed as long as it's very quick. Hence the AWD. I'd also appreciate great handling, coming from a mustang which only does well in a straight line.

I'm sure I'll run it at the track every once in a while, but not religiously. I plan to mod it like crazy. Not over the top, I like my cars to look clean. But I want to make this next car as fast as it can be -- completely exhaust its potential.

I wouldn't object to winning a few shows either. I'm definitely acar enthusiast, it's what I do, which is why I'd really enjoy joining a group of people like evo drivers. I'm completely up for suggestions. It has to retain daily driveability, but that never seems to be much of a problem if you're willing to spring for the gas.

I owned several Mustangs and thrown lots of money trying to make them turn like a real sports car and not a GT and all i can say is I traded my Cobra in for a 9 and although the EVO doesn't have the low RPM grunt Overall it simply blows away the American Muscle IMO. if you are a stoplight/straightline racer then stay with the V8 as they are cheaper to make power (IMO of course)

Good Luck on your choice(s)

Go test drive one if you can

I would go with a IX, I dont really care for the alum. block of the X, and with the X's coming out you could get an IX MR for about 30 new.
