what you think

installed a intake yesterday and wanted to just get a flash and tuned for the intake for now what do you think i could expect in power gains

3-5WHP, no real benefit on a sotckish or stock car.

u need to get a turboback as well to see anything. No use to inhale a lot of air with nowhere to go

should i run a full 3" my friend who has a MR told me it was better to get a 2.75" downpipe, high flow cat and a 3'' exahust with my IX

yea...... jus get 3" end of discussion.... also.... jus a waste of money if you are gonna get it flashed/tuned jus for an intake... lmao buuut by all means go for it itll make me happier to see that "I" am actually more conservative with my money then i thought

Lets clear a few misconceptions here. First, what intake did you install? If its the K&N typhoon, remove it immediately if you like your car. Most intakes accomplish very little on the Evo so pretty much a waste of money.

Second, even on a stock evo getting tuned will add quite a bit of power.

Full 3 inch exhaust, your friend is a dingus.

Not worth the price of a flash for just an intake that will post minimal gains. Don't hurry to throw a part on and flash, just wait until you can put a few parts on like TBE or LICP/FMI and then flash it .

Why is that. A flash for a stock car is well worth it. A $50 e flash for like 20whp. Sorry but gains to money ratio dont get better than that
