I know this is def. a newbie question, and yes i have searched and couldnt find the exact answer to my question. I have been looking to buy and evo and every evo I have driven has had HIDs, atleast I think? They have all been 03 gsr's. So, back to the top which evo do and do not have HIDs? I just assumed all did.

 

evo 9 GSR dont come with hid.

so what about evo IX RS or XIII RS? probably not right?

 

The evos that have HIDs stock (outside of the MR) are evos equipped with the sun and sound package (sunroof, hids and upgraded infinity sound system)

 

so did the XIII RS had HIDs?

 

The ix se also has the hids

 

i believe the VIII all had hids execpt the rs

 

I have an 03 with sunroof and premium sound system and yes it came with HIDS and a button which lets me move them up and down its pretty sweet. haha, but its like Nauticabri said, evos with the sunroof/premiumsound package that come with HIDS. :wink:

FYI...I have a 03 non-mr, non-rs with NO sunroof, and factory HID's

 

wow, seems like it isnt really entirely clear on what models had the HIDs. I know the 03's I drove were not the sun and sound and they did have HIDs. Was it just an option and why wouldnt they put them on the IX's?

 

Sorry I meant 03 04. i forget that even though acd came in 05 they were still an VIII
