Thanks everyone for the friendly comments. I can tell this is a much more mature forum than what I'm used to.

So I picked up the car this morning and drove it around, very happy with the purchase. There's a very minor interior rattle somewhere, no big deal. The seam of leather at the very bottom of the steering wheel is coming apart, nothing a tiny dab of Sumo glue can't fix. Alignment is off ever so slightly, might just need a simple toe adjustment up front, Carmax says they'll do it for free. Other than that the car is like new.

i have the exact same car and i couldn't be happier. i had an 03 viii before this one. the rs ix is the best evo imho. good luck and have fun.
