Daamn, all that stuff and you only made 410whp. (well you did have an SC)

Guarantee if you spent the money the same amount of money on the 4G64 you would be well into the 600whp+ range.

Of course the 3G axles & CVs are junk, they arent made for BOOOOOST. Sure they did great holding maybe 185whp~ but definitely not made for the 410 you put down

but he has not had any trouble with it mecanically at all....im amazed because he beats it pretty hard. 70k on the clock and still runnin strong

I could have built "2" 600whp evos for the money spent.
But, It was a lot of fun to build and it turned a lot of heads.

Yeah the parts for the 3G GT were hella expensive. Im sure it turned alot of heads. Alot of people didnt expect mine to do that either.

So far with all the parts i have this project is at around 5k. that includes the entire drivetrain swap. fully built head and block. only thing left is the fuel and exhaust.

Clutch is currently getting repaired at RPS. :woot:

price of a GS + kit to boost is still less than evo.
a bunch.

But obviosly i think the evo is a much better platform.
Till I get one, i'll be boosting my 3g as well
GS>GT for modding.

Just start gathering used evo parts as well a 2G AT AWD Rear end

What are you going to use to tune with?

saving up for the almighty ems,
some eclipse forum member claims to have done wonders with ecu flash.
If i see more proof i might be going that route. lots of people are dumping emanage in favor of that.

But the tuning is the big hole for me. too important to just go cheap on.
but damn is it expensive

If i can give you any advice its this....

the ECU Flash ive heard is great. you just have to find someone that has the skills to tune it. Also if you have an auto...your SOL.

I had the MAFT-Pro. Love that little unit. You cannot beat its price. $550 or so and you have speed density.

I sold it and now i have the AEM EMS. Its also great. a WHOLE LOT more to tune with. Your best bet, is to research the ECU Flash, or save up for the AEM EMS. You can prolly search around and get it for around $1k.
