Rpms dropping slow after wot pull

So today i decided to mess w/my EBC and adjust the offset from 100 to 125. After setting it, i go do a 2nd gear pull to 3rd. After shifting into 3rd and going up to 5k, i shift it into neautral and look at my rpms. They start dropping very slowly back down. Right at 4k it seemed to go even slower. Is this normal? I remember reading something on hear about it but not sure what it was. Just a little concerened since my buddy just recently lossed 3rd gear on his IX. It only happened that one time. Didn't want to do another wot pull after either.

I don't think it's a problem... probably an emissions thing if I had to guess - this is a common complaint on other cars, i.e., new Civic.
