Battery Relocation

Has anyone done a battery relocation to there trunk...I really dont feel like spending 200+$ for a small battery... I have it done in my mustang...Just curious if anyone has done it in there Evo

it has been done just do a search. It does however cost around $200 for a battery relocation kit.

You could probably make your own relocation kit for a lot less money.

I put my battery in my trunk and made a custom aluminum housing for it, for about $50. It came out good too.

just buy a mini battery kit...to do a relocation right its about 150 bucks and can be more depending on what type of fuses and such you buy...plus if you drag race it it may not pass tech...

if you race a real event, with real tech inspection you won't pass.
I have my battery relocated. It requires very thick gauge wire to go throough the firewall, interior and to the trunk. Also for my box you have to drill through the trunk to keep the box in place.

They dont pop your hood during tech?!?! They are at least supposed to pop the hood and pretend to look for leaks and non secure items..

I can't remember where I heard it, but i thought you also had to have a kill switch if your battery was relocated to the trunk. I might be making this stuff up though.
