so i have had my 03 TB evo for about 3 weeks now, and i love it, of course. Here is my question though for those who have owned evos for longer than i.

I have read up on the trans whines and know it is normal to hear a little something in the lower gears but it doesnt help me figure out if my car is okay. when i am in 4th or 3rd gear and slowing down i hear this noise. It starts at about 4k, maybe a little lower in 4th gear, and goes until around 2.5k in both gears. It is like this whine/something noise. i just want to know if anyone has experienced it before.

the only upgrade for now is exhaust cuz i have to go back to school at the end of the month and need the rest of the money. Does anyone have any words for me?
