thinking of buying an evo

hey guys,

im new to this site and i thought that buying a new car would be a good change from building cars.

i've visited the mitsubishi site a couple times and ive gotten a few quotes. is it worth buying an evo (rs or se) brand new or should i just buy a used one? if i do buy it straight off the lot, what's the lowest you've heard of or seen dealers go price wise?

thanks in advance.

Not sure what kind of pricing you have in Japan. Personally I would prefer to have a brand-new evo due to the abuse some people put these cars through. You could probably find a evo 9 RS for sub 29K if you searched enough.

I shipped my car from California to Maryland when I bought my 8 brand new.

Good luck and welcome

Jason

I purchased Brand NEW my 8 (Sold) and 9 MR. Personally, I also prefer a brand new car. However, sometimes Used car is not bad. Look or search in Marketplace in this web, other web, and local listing. I like Rich@Orbital's car for sale in this web. He is selling in the wrong time for me. I would buy his car if he is going to sell it Next year.

Good luck finding your EVO...

i don't think there are any RS models left... I don't know though (im usually wrong.)

When i went shopping for an Evo about 2 months ago, all i saw were SE and MR (black and very few silvers) and i don't think they will sell the SE for 25k.

Cali2MDevo made a good point about some people driving it hard so i would rather buy new.

I bought my SE for about 28k and it was a pain in the butt looking for a GG SE.

Good luck.

I paid 34 + tax for my 9 MR, and I thought I did good. But after joining this forum, I learned of South Coast Mitsubishi. I heard some people are paying a few thousands cheaper than I paid......

I bought my SE a few months ago for 29k! From what I can recall, there are no more RS models. And as someone mentioned most of the SE's that are STILL in stock are either black or silver. I firmly believe you should purchase a new one. Hey whats another 3 thousand bucks to your budget when your buying an evo?
