Accident again Bent fender

Got accident in parking again. Not my fault(always).
I pulled out and was driving 5 mph(or less)
drove about 2 ft! and then ford explorer backed up and hitted my fender along with tire and wheels.
I got all his information and he told me he want to do this without insurance company(his deductable is 1k)
Saw his rear bumper and seems like i was not only one.
Right before hitting my fender, i hunked at him few times but he didnt pay attention. I tried to back it up but it was too late. By time my gear was in reverse he was on my car.
Went to dealership but they directed me to their collision center.
Told me $500 for just poping out fender and repaint. Collision center told me it wont be look as it was. He suggested i get clear paint on passenger door to blend in the paint(for extra $170)
Also wheel alignment is another $80.
total will come out $750. I dont know if he can afford $750.

I'm also thinking about getting wide fender from evasive for $499 and paint at the base autoshop(need to find factory apex silver)
Going to check out other collision center to get more estimate.

I think my evo got bad karma. Never had accident+ticket in my life but got 2 accident in 2 months(non my fault, nothing major) and got pulled over by cop day after i bought the car(for no reason, no ticket)

Is this really worth $700 to fix?

Didn't read your post but I did see "is this really worth $700................Noway. Check the "for sale" forums and look for a used fender.

Not likely that they'd cover an aftermarket fender but if you called them up and talked to your insurance company you could figure it out. You might be able to list it as an addition to the car which would probably also increase your rate.

You should NEVER EVER leave the scene of an accident that isn't your fault. You should always call the police. I hope this guy doesn't screw you over and refuse to pay...

seems nice guy. Called few times and he called me back. I also called my insurance company and they told me people usually dont call police for minor accident and even police dont care about minor.
I got all his informations and we are both in military. Going to check out different body shops and see how it goes.
For reference, im recording all the telephone conversation on my cell phone. I'll show that if he denys his fault.

If he can't afford it then he needs to turn it over to his insurance. I wouldn't except anything but the best repair on an accident that is someone elses fault. The only time to worry about saving money and doing it on the cheap is if it was your fault and you don't want to file an insurance claim. n my experience many body shops will work with you on replacing factory parts with aftermarket.

it was in a parking lot.. meaning private property.. her ein CA cops dont respond to fender benders in private property.. they dont write reports or anything..

so when you call you have to be smart.. once i was with my friend in his is300 the first day he got it and we went to in n out... we were in our proper lane goin to right direction.. when the guy cuts over from the other lane through the parking lines into our lane and into us.. we were so heated because the car wasnt drivable and the guy did not have insurance.. he said he would help us out and blah blah blah.. and then he couldnt find his license.. so i called the cops and told him the guy was being psycho and wanted to hurt us.. lol like 3 squad cars showed up.. they cuffed him and cited him for no license or insurance took his car away and helped us get home..

called insurance they took care of everything and went after the guy themselves...

wawaneesa FTW.. lol

^lol!!

yeah, don't bother getting police involved in a situation like that... they either won't care for something so minor or (if you're under 25 or so) will try to turn the blame on you because you're "a kid" with a sports car and totally eff up your day... ok maybe not the latter but philly cops are ruthless...

NEED HELP ASAP!
i went to different body shop and came out to be 500 too.
called him and told him the price. He told me that was outrageous for small dent.
dont know if he's going to pay me $500
so i called his insurance company. Guess what
He got NO COVERAGE!
USAA was insurance that he gave me. USAA had all his information but told me he had no auto coverage.
USAA told me to call my insurance and tell what happen so they can go after him.

Whats the next step i have to take?
Btw he wants me to goto Maaco and get estimate. Hell no I'm not taking my car to Maaco.
