Buschur Specific
Well for one, if you don't know what a fuel pump does, you may need to do some research about these cars before you start modifying them. Not to sound rude or anything but, if you don't know that simple thing you should be driving something that isn't F/I..
But then again being the nice guy I am.. the reason you need a fuel pump is because the stock one will basically max itself out once the boost is raised and more fuel is needed because of the tune. A fuel pump is exactly what it says.. a FUEL PUMP!! it basically pumps gas from the fuel cell to the injectors.. in a very small nut shell.. So since the stocker won't do anymore.. what do you do! UPGRADE!! Get a Walbro 255 fuel pump and be done with it.
Also if your dad is the one paying for all this, all I can say is that 1. your lucky.. and 2. don't bite the hand that feeds you.. meaning go with what he wants.
And PLEASE!!! take it easy on the car once all this gets done. The stock clutch is just enough to hold the stock HP.. once you get a tune, take it easy with the car learn it's new abilities but don't abuse it.. cause if you do, it'll abuse you right back.. at least your wallet that is, or your dads. So the other thing you may want to look into is a upgraded clutch.. not right away, but with the added power.. your going to need it a couple thousand miles down the road.

Haha I'm soOo sorry.. I totally didnt mean that I didnt know what the fuel pump did.. I meant would I really need an upgrade.. But an upgrade sounds like to be more safe than sorry.. So I think I'll put the fuel pump in the mods list..
Dad wont be paying for everything of course, but its like he is "living" through me.. He wants to help mod, but of course I have to help as well.. We'll prolly be splitting 50/50..
Thanks for being a nice guy tho and not completely flaming on me.. It was a long day yesterday, and I wasnt really paying to much attention to what I was typing.. Let alone trying to stay awake..
.. So I wont be hitting 350 WHP.. Especially with that POS pump gas right? What else would I need specifically in order reach that goal? Just a list of parts would be nice, so I could do the research myself..
If you have a IX you dont "need" a fuel pump at 350whp but your going to be right at the line. if you have an VIII it's mandatory at this level.
to reach 350 in a IX you'll need the following.
3" TBE (catless prefered)
Intake
MBC or EBC
Cams
Custom Tune
o2 housing (optional)
LICP (optional)
Walbro 255 (optional)
headstuds (good idea if you boost over 21-22 psi)
If you get all of the above you'll probably be in the 350-370 range depending on how strong your car is and how well it's tuned. Plan on replacing the clutch shortly afterwards.
Next step would be Meth and/or upgraded Turbo, injectors, intercooler, hard pipes.
