Tinted windows

i have a question for you does anybody of you guys have tinted windows
if yes how did they did it for you,
did they pull out the window from the door or did they just put the tinted foil right on the window and cut it on normal closed window.
i dont know how to explain it but i hope you know what i mean..

I went to a shop that uses digitint, which is a machine that precuts the tint to the size of the windows.

The shop still needs to use a heat gun to apply the tint to the rear window because of its curvature, but it is a perfect application. If there is no shop that has a digitint in Slovakia then just make sure the shop uses a quality film.

we have lots of companies or guys they are doing it for living, but the thing is if they pull out the window from the doors and then put the film on it (we have good stuff)and then put the window back ,im affraid the if will make noises or rattles, later.you know what i mean.
and if they dont take off the window and cut it right on the doors ,its better..i guess?

Some places do it differently. Good shops will take the whole window out and tint it.

250 is kinda high.

I got a really good one done for $180 with a Lifetime warranty on everything.

I went 35% all the way around on both of my cars, because I like a lighter tint. Never been pulled over for tints(cross fingers)

5% is TOO DARK though. It is definitely gonna get you pulled over. It basically looks like a mirror...

I got mine done with 5% tint on all windows. It is lumar tint which has a lifetime warranty and I can go to any shop in the US apparently if I were to have any troubles with the tint. It cost $180 and it was worth every penny. I think the car looks best when you get the same percentage all the way around. 5% is pretty dark but the darker it is, the better it will look in my opinion. I don't like the look of having different percentages. Obviously, I realize I run the risk of getting pulled over, but whatever...I drive with windows down all the time anyway. My only bad comment on dark tint is that you always have to roll the windows down to back into a parking spot...which I also always make a habit of.

well.... i see how much difference is between my country versus yours.. here, they only charge me $80 and I apply all windows including the front one, and because there are no law that regulate this, I got side doors and back black limousin, in the front just a medium black

there's one shop in town that wanted to remove the windows to tint them,...

It can be done professionally without doing this, so I went another shop (that tints dealership cars)

your best bet is 20%. 5% is to dark and at night you will find yourself rolling down the window just to look left and right at intersections. i run 35% (should have went with 20%) and have no problems at night or with the police.

The Cop's around here love writing tickets for over tinting your windows......might want to check on what the law says or you could get harassed. Just a thought....
