ok so im gonna buy an evo and i dont know if its worth it to get an 06 for the mivec and if so then is the MR the way to go, with the 6spd and all i dunno, wat do you guys think? i need opinions!?

 

be a real G lol and get an 8 that is i feel the last of the very true 4g motors.

 

get the IX. Cant beat MIVEC and having more power.

Not to mention the little front bumper and interior upgrades!

 

get an IX GSR....don't look back

I've had my 06 IX MR SE since october 2006. I'm still in shock over my purchase. It all depends on what you want. Bottom line - The 06 IX w/ MIVEC makes more power than the VIII for less $$$.

1. IX RS - Raw/stripped, no power options, w/ 5sp
2. IX SE - Power options, zero lift/aero options, w/ 5sp
3. IX MR SE - Fully loaded, upgraded suspension (Bilstein), w/ 6sp

 

Get a 06 IX, the MR tranny sucks for drag racing... Two friends had theirs break on them and they got a Shep 5 speed instead for their MR's. Having a MR means nothing except a 6th gear IMO. And VIII's have to spend a little more money to get the outcome a IX can with basic bolt-ons

 

get the IX i love my MR

 

I have only had a IX RS and got to drive it for about 3 months before I got deployed. I like it though. I could deal with out all the options.

 

I would say get the one you can reasonably afford...Check your insurance and go for it..

i've owned both 8 and 9... wouldn't trade the 9 for anything!

 

evo 9 MR. the suspension really feels good.

 

it really does not matter get what model you can afford. As long as it's a evo
