got a few stupid questions

hey guys, im planning to trade in my 07 honda fit for an 03 evo. ive been in love with these cars from day one, just never had the money for one....my first question is how big is the trunk? I ride BMX and i take my bike everywhere with me...so i was wodnering if i could fit my bike in the trunk with the front wheel off? my other question is what kind of problems should i be looking for when looking at the older evos?
Thanks in advance =)

Bike questions...

I can say with 99% probability it won't fit into the trunk. As for what to look for, that's hard to say. Do the obvious, get under it, check the back of the block for oil leaks (head studs changed incorrectly). The dealership doing some warranty work found a plug on the underside of the intercooler piping that the guy that had the car before me put in there for meth injection (never thought to feel the pipes up for that ). Check things like a test pipe vs cat if you're worried about emissions in you state. Check sevice records, mileage (has it had the belt service at 60k. If you want to be a pain check the plugs for wear/oil/build up. There is alot you can do that I'm sure we all wish we woulda/coulda/shoulda done. Check the ailgnment, get in a big parking lot and turn the wheel full left and drive in a circle, and then full right to do the same, listen for clicking/popping noises, test drive it like you are going to drive it because odds are buying a used Evo someone has driven it like that before! Good luck!

One small thing to check is to look at the brembo brakes. Make sure no paint is starting to peel or any scratches. I didn't notice them on mine untill i washed it the red paint is starting to peel more and more. Just a pain i ran into. The scraches were fron not puting the wheel on slowling!

Make sure the transfer case isnt whining when purchasing the car. Also make sure that the shifter shifts smoothly into every gear as there are known problems with 03s and their gear syncros.
